It is a building designed for a boutique hotel in a rural area targeting the local and foreign traveler market. On the site there is already an existing Joglo which will be used as a  lobby and restaurant from the hotel. Hotel functions are accommodated in the new building around the Joglo. The owner wants the hotel to have a modern design. The form of the new building around the Joglo is designed with a flat roof so that it can still highlight the shape of the existing joglo. Modern architecture that tends to be simple and filled with plant elements is designed to contrast and complement the traditional ethnic Joglo building.
